Character Discussion Is Nami still the 3rd main protagonist of One Piece or is it Sanji now?

What is the core trio of modern One Piece?

The Yonko Saga is defined as the "New Age" in the volume covers

hmmmm...

Law haters really seething at the idea that Oda choose a random edge lord as a co-lead of a saga :josad:
Yes, I'm familiar with the cover page, what does that have to do with the fact that the Smile factories being destroyed were an inconvenience at best for the Yonko, that Kaido stopped caring about like 5 minutes into Wano?

it has to do with the fact that it is canonically what set up the yonko saga, hence Law being a huge part of it?

doesnt matter what you opinion of it is, we are literally reminded multiple times in the story it is what set up the events of Wano

The problem is this isn't true. Law's plan was to make kaido kill Doffy after messing up Ceasars operations, which isn't what happened. His goal had nothing to do with what actually happened in Dressrosa, which is the Marines arresting Doflamingo, and the beast pirates trying to save him. Kaido cares so much about Law destroying his Smiles..... that he, decided it would be a better use of his time to get drunk then capture him when he could

Meanwhile, he went out of his way to imprison Kidd and Killer, who never did anything to him, because his main goal in the arc was to recruit the supernova and Samurai, not to get revenge on the Luffy Law alliance.

And again, why is the start of the Yonko saga with the SHP meeting Law at PH, and not Luffy declaring war on Big Mom at FMI?

what's not true? I literally put down several instances where we were told that the whole Wano arc is due to Luffy and Law destroying SAD.

Just because you find one instance where Oda used Kaido's incompetency to save Law from being low diff doesn't mean he didn't care. In fact just a chapter or 2 before this we see him angry at both LMAO

Angry? Sure, but what was his goal? To imprison them, and force them to join his crew, just like he did to Kidd and Killer. So how relevant is the SHP and Law alliance destroying Smiles factories actually?

Outside power it's perhaps Nami but she's been so irrelevant for too many arcs to be considered the third main character especially after Law stealing the show for like ten years.

If we take the SBS statement, it's Luffy, Zoro and Nami...

If we define who's who (based on volume billing):
Protagonist: Luffy
Deuteragonist: Straw Hat Pirates
Tritagonist: Shanks
