The crown is behind the mane which lies on a lions neck so since he kicked through the crown that means kicking the crown means he probably kicked the lions shoulder or at worst the collarbone which is about where he kicked Kuroobi with Epaule before

Hmmmm... I really don't see how you got that from the panel shown.
Epaule = Shoulder in french though so you may be on to something.

We’ve seen the crown on the cat and in the panel with the lion looking at Nami and Usopp we see that the mane covers the bottom of the crown so it’s clear the mane is in front of the crown.

Lion manes lie on a lions neck so that means the crown has to lie on either the back of a lion neck or the nape of its neck. Plus we see Sanji kicked the left side of the crown and not the middle so it makes sense that kicking its shoulder involves kicking through the crown.

Perhaps he has multiple crooks of assistants that work independently and he told them 'yo go and draw a harass Viking looking weapon on his back'
