Out of all the characters and respective fandoms, I think Rayleigh is one of the most respected or the least disrespected character among the top tiers. This is even more surprising that he is associated which sort of already puts a target on the character.
I have seen almost every character get hate/downplay/ridicule and Rayleigh is no different (probably) but it doesn't stand out like that. The most downplay I have seen is done by idiots who hold the subordinate must always be weaker than captain/s retarded idea. And even then it doesnt go beyond that to just ridicule the character. But then there are also people who say that Ray>Roger.
Is it because Rayleigh must be respected by the Admiraltards because of Ray vs Kiz and by Yankers because of Ray vs BB.
Somebody went so far as to say that Prime Ray >= Mihawk.
In terms of anti feats which almost all top tiers have had, Ray also seems to be safe from this. The only other character who receives similar respect from most is probably WB.
