there's a bit of a difference between his gag as a ladies man/simp and his gag as a pervert
his gag as a pervert is really bad, him peeping on women in showers while using the raid suit to be invisible for example is just disgusting imo
but him simply barking for stussy, while goofy, isn't bad

My whole post is strictly talking about the manga

There are certain arcs where it's nearly nonexistent and then there are other arcs where it's a problem

He's been surprisingly normal in Elbaf and he basically didn't do anything in Egghead. His gag wasn't even really a "gag" in WCI I'd argue his infatuation with women became an actual plot point with the whole Pudding thing

He was fine in Dressrosa and looking back on it his scenes with Viola were actually pretty funny/sweet

Zou is.... eh. Not that great for him as far as the gag goes but it was fairly short so while bad it wasn't too terrible

Punk Hazard and Wano were definitely two low points for Sanji gag wise. I don't think that can really be denied

Fishman Island is where it's genuinely like immersion breaking. It was so bad that it permanently scarred the fanbase lol

The anime adds a lot but in terms of manga despite the gags existence it’s never really a big deal outside of FI. Which the only reason oda did it was to establish the human fishman blood law without immediately invalidating any straw hats timeskip growth.

Yep, this.

When Sanji is just being a simp, complimenting ladies and having heart eyes, and not being creepy about it, it's fine.
Being a perv against consent is never fine, and I am glad his own invisibility doesn't let him peep in the showers because basically Sanji is just moving very, very fast, and he cannot stealthily sit in the shower.

I am usually annoyed in cases like when Sanji is fighting Zeus to be Nami's slave (seriously?), him running away randomly in Wano and getting into a trap, something like that. The dog moment was meh, but not too damaging. The "only I can save Bonney-chan" was kinda icky. Nami body-swap was funny to me, but probably icky for others.

The whole "rehabilitation" period after okamas and FI nosebleeds were horrible to the point that I'm just trying to erase it from my memory.
