Anime & Manga Is so good to be a Zoro Fan

#28
I don't hate Zoro. I just don't like characters simply used as plot tools. We need something. Feats are nice, he has some emotional development and a goal but his goal is ... shallow too easily contradicted with not enough grounding. Past and experiences are what shape a person so wtf shaped Zoro before Kuina. What shaped his stoic personality, his lack of caring about anyone till the crew, this is stuff that would be nice to be filled in. Until it is.

Zoro is a crash dummy used to fight things and drive story and rivalry. Sanji may be all gags but at least we know why he ticks.

Call me when Zoro actually gets a backstory. Doesn't even have to be huge. Just tell me why an orphan ended up going to random dojos, where were his parents or guardian, etc.

Also, you Zoro fans say we Sanji fans just want everything Zoro has but all I see when chapters come out are "Zoro has better CoO," "Zoro has better speed," "Zoro has more kindness," like it's absolutely mandatory that you all must have Zoro beat Sanji at his own specialties as well. Talk about insecurity.
Zoro already has a backstory. Luffy doesn't have one on why he ended up being abandoned by his parents why Zoro would need one?

Zoro having better CoO and speed has nothing to do with Sanji. This is just stating how great he is.

About kindness wasn't Zoro fans hype that false shit on the last chapter. Zoro do have some kindness for very few people that he truly care about. All chapters of One Piece shows him being exactly the opposite of that with random people that try to do something against him. Like him trying to kill Tenryuubito at Sabaody, killing that guy at the beginning of Wano etc.

Zoro fans are the most selfconfidence fandom in One Piece.

Yeah that's just as sad, you're right.
Yet, those people don't make the same amount of noise as Zoro-caps, that every discussion has to be about him being strong or mihawk per transitive property.
Ironically all discussions made about other characteres ended up talking about Zoro and not by Zoro fans doing that.

I agree in parts. I don't understand what you mean by plot tool but it is true that Zoro is a bit empty of personality specially after timeskip.

He is all about fighting, defending his captain and leading when necessary. Wano could have being much better if he truly had done what he said he would like recruiting samurai for example. Showing how he did and Samurai believing in him like he believe in Luffy(or something close to that) would be a good development for him.

Also showing more his caring for woman that was obviously Sanji affecting him. Maybe a small dialogue at rooftop like "Law can we exchange positions? I don't feel confortable fighting woman" while he was facing Big Mom would be enough.
