The problem with Sommers being defeated is that would essentially mean Gaban is capable of taking care of the Holy Knight threat by himself

I don't really see the Holy Knights losing without Strawhat involvement so one of two things will probably happen

A. Sommers is still up and the Holy Knights are much stronger than people thought + reinforcements arrive/Shamrock comes back

B. Hostage situation where Gaban is unable to act or straight up loses because of it. The rest of the group minus Loki come up from the Underworld to help

Which i expected him though. They never seen as such a high threat considering the numbers we got compared to them and their showings weren't impressive enough for me to think they could actualy do something against Gaban.

After the chapter before this one, i was wondering why Oda is sending Gaban in like that, since he should be too much for the HK. And that's what we saw this chapter, he is clearly too strong for them.

Now could a hostage situation happen? Sure, wouldn't be a fan of it though. I mean they already got Colon as a hostage lol - but do they know Colon is Gabans son? Maybe it's gonna be something stupid like Colon screaming ''Father'' when he sees him....

To be fair the Holy knight seem like training arc for Strawhats to prepare themselves against Imu and Gorosei .

The answer is obvious Colon card will be pulled soon and Gaban will be asked to tag along and Luffy will arrive to save the day and old man Scopper will teach him haki to overcome the HK .
