Character Discussion Is V. Nasujuro even eligible for the WSS title?

#26
Ignoring the fact that the Gorosei being powerful doesn’t seem to be common knowledge, would Venus be ineligible for the title regardless?
Not sure where did you get that, not that it matters since SBS, character boxes and character introduction all call Mihawk "World's Strongest Swordsman"

Venus can’t have the title because he’s not recognized as a man, he’s recognized as a god.
Potentially true, but I doubt that is the route Oda is going to take.

I guess he could it be he has been living from a long time but Maybe he had something with ryuma and that's why he doesn't want to be he is not even aknowledge as sword god

Mihawk couldn't even tell Zoro was strong enough to beat his baboons
That’s not what that panel implied at all, Jesus your comprehension skills are terrible

Mihawk knew Zoro could beat them but didn’t expect Zoro to do it so fast, this proved Zoro during his off panel fight with the humandrills grew in strength which shocked Mihawk and that’s one of the reasons he trained Zoro in the first place

If Oda wanted Nusjuro to fall after Mihawk he would have given him a black blade and not a fruit. Oda could have made him the pinnacle of swordsmanship that way and even have Nusjuro go "yeah, I am stronger than your teacher, but I am over 800 years old, and Mihawk was almost my equal despite only being 40" when he faces Zoro to make it make more sense.

I find it far more likely Zoro takes Shodai from Nusjuro before he faces Mihawk so he is at his strongest when facing Mihawk.

This "Venus is a God so he's exempt from Mihawk's title" excuse works.

But man up and exempt the Gorosei from Whitebeard's & Kaidou's irrelevant titles too. They are Gods right? Why limit them to mere man & creature?

Dont pick & choose where you'll try to act smart & where you'll follow the title though.

If he is a swordsman - or even just extremely proficient with the sword - then yes I'd rate him on a list of best swordsmen.

I know King doesn't limit himself to being a swordsman but he is very skilled with the sword, so skilled in fact he is better with the sword than most swordsmen we have seen. I see no problem with ranking him in a list of swordsmen based on his skill with the sword, then you could also rank his strength overall in a separate list.

It's kind of like an MMA-fighter can be ranked as #3 in the world as a pure kickboxer when only allowed to use those techniques and #10 in the world overall as a MMA-fighter when all techniques are allowed.

I know Law ranks as a swordsman as seen in the picture Oda drew of One Piece swordsmen but to me he has hardly shown any swordsman skill. Some, sure, but in his case it's mostly DF. Same as Big Mom.

I believe Mihawk > Roger as a swordsman but in a fight using all their techniques Roger > Mihawk. So Nasujuro could be stronger or weaker than Mihawk overall, as a swordsman though Mihawk > all (Ryuma only possible exception).

We are about to witness Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou in real life this weekend. I'm 100 % sure Fury wins in boxing but in any other discipline like wrestling, BJJ, kickboxing or MMA Ngannou wins.

nasujoro or whatever wins in regular fight but in a just sword fight then yeah mihawk wins cause mihawk is the wss but not the most powerful person who has a sword.

This has never made any sense and never will.

All Roger has is a sword and haki
All mihawk has Is a sword and haki
There is no overall
When zoro beats mihawk to be wss it will because he will beat him in a fight to show he is stronger overall
