Don't take it personally (to Mihawaks fanboys , i like him too)
But that tital has no weight..In fucking entire series only one person want to become WSS.
Not even single samurai shows any desire or goal or dream to become WSS..
And that's oda's fault..
Agreed. Oda could have at least made the same dream in most of Zoro's opponents. Not even King that made the same promise to never lose but nothing about being the greatest WSS. This is Zoro's personal mission to fulfill his promise to Kuina.

Yea arguably. Mihawk despite being the WSS still had to join the world government to gain freedom.

Any individual strength based title is not all that useful. It might even draw unnecessary attention when you don't want it.

Having the Yonkou title is far more useful. You make your own rules and nobody dares approach you ever. Naturally the WSC and WSM were Yonkou for this reason. Mihawk's a loner so he doesn't have the crew or leadership required for it.

The Navy brought out SSG to attack Mihawk, they wouldn't dare waltz straight into Yonkou territory and openly engage like that.
I have always taught that if mihawk wanted freedom why did he become a pirate in the first place, he could have always practiced his swordsmanship without the government bothering him.

We have seen people want to the pirate king, people strong like luffy or weak like buggy.
Roger created a dream because of all of his actions and he left a big impact to the world, so many, many people start dreaming becoming the PK.
But do we ever seen people that want to become the WSM or the WSC?
Those titles are given by people (oda) in order for the readers to realize the magnitude of a character's power.
The thing with Zoro's dream and what makes it so unique, especially as the story is progressing is that a boy (zoro) having a dream about disciplines, training, hurting etc in order to be the strongest of those who call themselves swordsman. There is no shortcut in this and while PK is a harder achieving dream there are shortcuts.
I seriously don't get it how wano help's haters with this argument.
Wano is an enslavement country for the last 20 years plus we haven't meat someone in that age who could be called strong let alone a wss candidate.
After we have seen that shanks was Mihawk's rival, Roger being a swordsman and Mihawk being the second known person in hundred years to have a black blade, arguments like this are kinda silly.
