Theory Is Zoro a 'failed' Ryuuma clone?

For vegapunk the artificial fish fish fruit was a failure because the color of the zoan wasn't right.

A hint towards the discrepancy in zoro's and ryuuma's hair colors (black and green)?


Not that I desire it but I wouldn't be surprised. Same for dragon who will turn out to be a Xebec clone or even his son

I doubt it. Oda would have to do so many retcons or PIS to make that happen.

I wouldn't have many issues with Zoro being Ryuuma's clone if it were the case. Although I'd prefer for Zoro to be from an unknown EB fodder family.

Definitely seems like there are story cues that make it make sense that he's a clone of someone. Unknown past, obvious ties to Wano, looking like spitting image of a pretty large character, author gone out of the way to say he's not the father of Zoro while also insinuating that there isa connection.

Can see it going either way, and making sense either way.

I mean he could be. We know literally nothing about Zoro’s past before he met Koshiro.

We know Koshiro knew Dragon, so it’s possible he knew Vegapunk as well.

But if Zoro was Ryuma’s clone, why wouldn’t he have been raised by the WG like Stussy? And why would he use 3 sword style instead of 1 sword(clones retain the fighting style of their originals).

If he is one, and I do subscribe to the Ryuma Zero reddit theory: Then it's interesting that the color blue specifically is one Vegapunk can't replicate. Since Kaido's form is blue and Ryuma's hair was shown to be blue in anime..

Wonder what's so special about blue.

It could be, i mean bakins had a clone, and it seems that ryuma lived not so long ago during those years. But i think Zoro isnt a clone and there’s a chance that on his mother side it could be that Zoro’s mother came from an ancient race that has green hairs as a proof that they came from this ancient race this is why that even zorro can catch up to luffy, or even sanji or some other big shot pirates out there

The missing character introduction box at zoro début is quite intriguing, I was already disappointed when sanji was strong because he was an experiment, now the only crewmate seen consistently training to become stronger gonna end up being some extraordinary genetics marvel too……..I don’t know where Oda is going if this is true……Rayleigh, Roger, Mihawk, White Beard, Shiki, Shanks (…etc) are normal human beings as we know so far. And Oda gonna say to us : you have to be a cheat code to beat them.
