I think reflexes are the first thing that matters for a swordsman regardless. See Fujitora, his reflexes are top top notch thanks to his immensely big CoO and his defence strikes like a stone wall. He isn't fast, not in movement speed, not in combat. And yet even his base swordsmanship is solid.

In order to revive this topic, what's zoro's speed level by now? He kept up with kaido's speed as well as with awakened kaku's speed who's heavily relying on soru. Zoro never really showed soru but has performed feats quicker than them, for instance out-speeding flameless king. Remember casual King outspeeded RS Sanji, even though it was only one clash.

He has no problem with soru-teleporting enemies like they were from DBZ. Why doesn't he use soru
