Chapter Discussion Is Zunesha's appearance correlated to the gorosei conversation?

#22
Yeah makes no sense that they're talking about Luffy
because they don't really believe since it was centuries since the DF was awaken , now i think they were informed about that giant shadow and had a reason to talk about it since they said it is impossible. maybe the legends tell them as well that Zunisha was created because of the that DF.

Yes thinking about it for a while made me realize it's actually an option.
I just can't imagine how Luffy's awakening is supposed to turn others into giants permanently. It would require the body not only to elongate, fill with air etc. but to remain like this permanently.

Once again
It cannot be luffys fruit

The wg changed the name of this fruit

When someone eats a fruit they know its name

Luffy confirms his fruit is the gomu gomu no mi

Roo knew it was called the gomu
Not what the wg would have changed the name too

The wg themselves call it the gomu gomu no mi

''gomu gomu'' might be the fake name, the real name being known only to Tue Gorosei and Im themselves.

Please read what I said.
Gomu gomu cannot be a fake name.
When you eat a fruit you instantly know the NAME of that fruit
So even if they change it to everyone else
Who ever eats it will know
Luffy has ate it and STILL calls it gomu gomu no mi so that's its name

When spandam gives kaku and kalifa their fruits 300 something
But if this were a thing then changing the name of any devil fruit would be obsolete because its user will always know the true name. makes no sense to me.

Not necessarily
If the name makes it clear what it does
Changing the name could stop people searching for it.
And this fruit hasn't been used in centuries

Have we ever had an example in One Piece where there’s a hugely dramatic speech bubble overlaid over a dramatic cliffhanger image… and the two have absolutely nothing in common?

I think it’s pretty clear that what the Gorosei are talking about, in some way, is connected with Zou.
The key is "in some way".

1) We see that the conversation of the Gorosei and the WG agent speaking to the other ships via Den Den Mushi aren't connected. Those are seperate scenes that are only connected by Oda's paneling, not because of some inner-manga connection.

2) Oda does this on purpose - just like he draws an effigy of Toki on the first page, while a kid writes "I want to see my mother again" on his balloon. We simply don't know this purpose yet. It could be really connected some way, it could be for dramatic purposes (two all-important events happening simultaniously - Gorosei learning about this "legendary" DF and Zunisha appearing in Wano) or it could simply be a red herring.

I just think that the theories of Zunisha itself being a DF user/island turned DF are not leading us anywhere. We know that Zunisha is an animal of a certain species. Oda even detailed (size, anatomy, lifespan etc.) and named (Naitamie-Norida-Elephants) that species in SBS Vol.83 and its vivre card. There is no clue or connection to itself being a DF user at all.

If anything I think the DF they mentioned maybe has to do with Zunisha appearing in Wano right now (although the Gorosei don't know that yet) and not with Zunisha being that huge island-sized animal.

no he will not need air after awakening it just before awakening is air or stretching the catalysts for the gigantification, when he awakens his DF he doesn't need it anymore he can do it as well. at least it is possible that Oda go that way. he just wanted to hide the true nature of the DF so he gave him an ability that seems to give him elasticity and he (or in the story the WG) the rubber rubber fruit, but it was always odd. Luffy's DF is the only the DF that is named after one material but it doesn't produce that material. and no one could say otherwise because it was earsed from the history so everyone thought it is really the rubber rubber fruit.

The line is, "あの実は我々にとっても伝説だ", meaning, "Even to us, that fruit is a legend." That means that Luffy, Kaido, Momo, Brook, Robin, Law, Chopper, etc. can't be the user they're talking about because the Gorosei already knew of them. The fruit has to be one that has only recently come into their attention.

Toki , zunisha or something

no in the opposite they are telling us that they gave that DF another name it means we already know that DF , why they now talking about it , it is because not because of the DF itself more because of Zunisha's relation to the awakening of that DF.
it would not make any sense if they are talking about changing the name of a DF that we don't know yet.
