I am actually worried about the major mysteries of one piece being trash.
There are many issues with one piece with the type of MC we have for this kind of series to many story points. But I had already accepted them being trash and hoped to just worry about the main mystery...but even that seems to be going in a direction which I probably won't like.
Most audiences I believe don't even bother much I guess because they get happy when some character or name gets a panel. Its like they are hostages who are deprived of all good things and a simple change even though it adds nothing(or still had not added anything and gets offscreen) makes them think its a positive thing...but often the reality is we were tasting pig shit and now we are tasting pig shit.
So let me ask you. How does it make any sense for there to be a tree, that for no explicable reason, creates a fruit, that allows a person to make clothes out of nowhere?
How is that scenario, in your mind, better than say for example, a person who lived in an impoverished, cold nation, where people were dying all around them due to the extreme cold, having a strong desire to want to save the people of thier Country, by providing adequate protection against the elements, manifesting the ability within themselves?
And scenarios like that can practically be thought of for every conceivable devil fruit.
The concept of Manifestation power through Will is already established with haki. This just further expands upon it. You're not a fan of that.
Yet, a magical fruit tree, with nothing that could possibly give a substantial reason as to why it created this power, would be a better scenario for you.
Help me understand.

From what I can see, oda is now trying very hard now to establish everything through science, he added rocks and mads and has been using them a lot, he is trying to ditch supernatural element from the story maybe, but thing is its to late especially when science is just used as a reason but the series itself doesn't jas a good foundation on that. And he is pretty bad at that too. I believe he will try to do the same with all the important mystery too and it might be very underwhelming, the one piece world will lose its uniqueness. Like there is no adventure mystery to solve but rather scientific. I feel one piece was just better with being a supernatural adventure. And even then, the narrative of adventure is not that great. It's not really an adventure. With Roger, I could see how everyone was interested to go solve stuff... Fighting with others was something they evn avoided. But Luffy and SHs have no such thing. No one talks or thinks about it(sanji has not mentioned about all blue at all)... Robin reads stuff but shares nothing because no one really cares. Even now egghead.. Whatever info we are getting, it's nothing much.. But the I fo is just getting poured no one is asking about it. Like the ancient robot... Luffy doesn't care much about it, while I could see Roger being excited about the mystery.
Where are Asura and Diable Jambe coming from? Why can Fishman manipulate water on land out of nothing? How does a DFless Ideo create explosions with his hands? Minks electricity? What's that about? Lunarian flames and durability? Bobby Funks impenetrable skin? There is plenty of non devil fruit related powers floating around out there.
