I would love a Zoro flashback in this arc or at least something relating his family, while not crucial for the plot to progress, it would be nice to have...And its possible too.
In an SBS answering a question about that carpenter that Franky was working for earlier in the arc, Oda said:
"That's right, they actually aren't the same person! They have the same last name because they're related by blood. The fact of the matter is, a ship from Wano reached East Blue a few decades ago."
Theres two possibilities, one that Zoro's parents might have been on that ship. Or that Oda is refering to when shimotsuki Kozaburo left wano i think 55 years ago but i dont know if Oda would considder 5 decades as "a few"...Or ff Oda is in fact refering to another group of people who left wano after, its very likely Zoro's parents or at least one parent was in that ship, wich might give Zoro some deep ties with Wano's history.
