Is it ever stated that Jarul and Jorul are relative to each other?

One dies from 6yo BM while the other survives against buffed Harald at even an older age

It kind off was.
Like giant pirates "may" have an history of having two captains. Like Dorry and Broggy.
And in the past it was Jarul and Jorul.

Like people consider Dorry and Broggy to be equal, Same was applied to Jarul and Jorul.

But turns out one of them was actually stronger. There battles are never bloodlusted so one of them was always holding back to not kill is my hypothesis.

They were co-captains like Brogy and Dory, Jarul is only a little bit stronger at best, as he is 1 year older. Anyways, this is a massive BM upscale. Jarul wouldn’t have been able to do shit against BM either.

For context this jarul was fighting Holyknight Harald. Though he was outscaled but he still played a part. Kid linlin would get murdered.

Jarul is more likely to win this against bigmom.

Jorul and Jarul are way more comparable to Dorry and Brogy. They even mirror them in their epithets, just like Dory and Brogy being the Blue and Red Ogre. Mountain Beard and Waterfall Beard follow the same pattern. On top of that, both pairs are co-captains of the original Elbaf crew which is now led by Dorry and Brogy. Jorul and Jarul were clearly just the OG Dorry and Brogy lol. Loki and Hajrudin aren’t co-captains or any of the sort.

We don’t need feats, this type of pairing is very deliberate and on the nose. They were the OG and superior versions of Dorry and Brogy. Jorul holds the same status as Jarul, both are revered as heroes.

Jarul just got lucky that he didn’t die because of the helmet btw. Oda made it a gag like Shiki surviving a steering wheel getting stuck on his head or Kinemon magically surviving Kaido because of Law‘s amputate.

You’re just fixating on the unimportant bits, the portrayal from Oda is clear cut. They were the first iterations of Dorry and Brogy. Besides, Jarul didn’t do anything special against Harald. Loki was doing most of the work, clashing evenly with haki involved. Jarul got one sneak stab in, then Harald just threw the sword back to him, no haki shown.

He still is, lol. He can retcon the power level, but he can’t separate the two as the first versions of Dorry and Brogy. That’s like asking Oda to separate Whitebeard from Roger, or Harald from Xebec, honestly even worse. All this really means is that Jorul was just as strong as WSC Jarul 300 years ago.
