Versus Battle Jesus vs YHWH

#1
Okay boys, I think this thread has long been overdue

For thousands of years, Jesus fans have clung to this idea of the trinity to justify their belief that Jesus is on par with the god of the old testament. However the trinity is ultimately nothing but pure headcanon. In terms of both portrayal and feats, I believe the bible clearly indicates that YHWH is on a completely different level from Jesus.

feats:

In terms of feats, YHWH is on a completely different tier. Let's have a look:
  • creates universe
  • destroys earth in a flood
  • splits the red sea
  • brings calamities to egypt
  • destroys sodom and Gomorrah
What are jesus's feats? Ultimately they just aren't comparable. His biggest feats include necromancy. He can use this power on both himself and other people. He can also heal others, however he has not shown the ability to do the same to himself(which imo he probably can't as he died during crucifixion). And of course, we know he can walk on water as well as turn it into wine.

All of these are powerful abilities and easily make jesus one of the stronger gods in the verse. But this is a far cry from YHWH's feats which clearly indicate that he is the strongest being in existence.

But even beyond feats, I think portrayal really shows the difference:

While jesus fans insist that YHWH and their fav are one and the same, portrayal really speaks differently. I know Jesus fans have their own copes for this that they have devised over thousands of years, but I think the words speak for themselves.
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." -----Matthew 26:39
About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).
-----Matthew 27:46
These passages directly show Jesus accepting his inferiority to his father. Its really explicit and imo there is no other logical explanation for these verses. I know there are arguments that say otherwise, but they really sound like cope to me.

Anyways, I think both portrayal and feats indicate that not only is YHWH stronger than Jesus, he is far stronger than jesus. Imo YHWH should win this fight neg diff.

This thread was made largely tongue in cheek and just for fun. I really hope nobody was offended by this, it wasn't my intention.

Early church fathers, the "deuterocanonical," etc.
oh im retarded. I've only read the protestant version of the bible.
Anyways in the other bibles, do they explain the trinity in any way which doesn't make it sound like Jesus fan copium?

One of my biggest problems with this fandom is the trinity. I've asked multiple priests about it and nobody can explain it in a logical way. They just say: "it is beyond human comprehension", which makes it seem like a cope that explains why christian headcanon doesn't contradict the old testament.

You should only read the abridged series after going through the original.
