Kenjaku was wayy to overpowered, especially with doamin without barrier. It is for the best that he was taken out this way.

On a side note, is it possible that Yuji was able to damage Mahito's soul because of his own CT and not because of Sukuna? A possible foreshadowing.

Though there are a few details that make me think Kenjaku is still alive

It was heavily foreshadowed that Maki would be involved in his defeat.
Yuta vs Kenjaku was built up for such a long time. Is it really just gonna be a sneak attack?
He still has 1-2 cursed technique (s) to show. We've also only seen the rct version of the anti gravity technique he got from Yuji's mom.
He has some connection to Sukuna in the Heian era that should be revealed
He's literally the MC's mother, they're definitely interacting

Maybe he somehow ends up in Yuta's body lmao or he has a spare that he went to....
