Not really, Gojo did well against Sukuna.
I just hated WCS and Mahoraga for various reasons.
Now that a few months have passed, I think Gege wanted to show that Gojo recovered his strength with blackflash and Sukuna recovered with transformation.
It would have been back to square one if both of them recovered and started fighting again. But Gojo's brain was already cooked (as shown in magazine extra).

It is kinda boring because of the same CT. But, at the same time Gege showed Sukuna as undefeatable.
Try to factor in Sukuna's portrayal so far. Gege has reiterated it again and again.
So, just like Mahito's "I am YOU" moment, this development is also great.
It also solidifies Sukuna's position as #1 sorcerer and he will only be defeated by his twin's son, i.e., with his own CT.

Chap begins with small flashback to Sukuna & Uraume talking about Yuji. Uraume asks Sukuna who even is Yuji cuz he has an unexplainable power just from the residual cursed energy that Sukuna left in him before separating
SUKUNA REVEALS THAT HE ATE HIS TWIN BROTHER WHEN HE WAS IN HIS MOTHER'S WOMB TO NOT STARVE TO DEATH. AND THAT DEAD TWIN'S SOUL SOMEHOW ENDED UP IN KENJAKU'S HAND, WHICH LED TO CREATION OF YUJI ITADORI!!

Yuji is pushed back as he lands on a pillar, which he slices & throws it towards Sukuna Narrator explains that Yuji currently has 2 Curses techniques in him. “Blood Manipulation” from death paintings and SUKUNA'S CT “MIZUSHI”(SHRINE)!!!!
YUJI CAN USE SUKUNA'S CURSED TECHNIQUE “MIZUSHI”(SHRINE)!!!
Yuji grabs hold of Sukuna's leg and tries to slice it off using Shrine CT but Sukuna quickly sends slashes towards him. Yuji rushes through the slashes, unfazed, and hits Sukuna with another Black Flash!!!
Sukuna realizes Yuji has the same cursed technique as his but there's some difference due to era & representation of user Sukuna thinks it's still ridiculous that Yuji is able to use it. Since he just learnt about it, the output of the slashes are low
Small flashback to Ino asking permission from Gojo, Shoko & Ijichi to use Nanami's cursed tool cuz they were Nanami's old friends & they knew him more. But Gojo reassures Ino that he can use Nanami's cursed tool cuz Nanami trusted Ino more out of anyone
Ino uses his cursed technique to summon Dragon & attacks. Sukuna easily slices off the dragon & grabs hold of Nanami's cursed tool with his feet but he senses Yuji behind him ready to attack
