Powers & Abilities Judge Purposefully Changed the Raid Suit - Alchemy Reference

#1
It's been a debate amongst Sanji fans for a while on whether Judge was behind the Raid Suit changing Sanji, or whether he didn't know it would do so or not amd if he knew it, why didm't he just force it onto him in WCI instead of continuing to refer to him as a failure.

I realized something the other day about Stealth Black, that convinces me Judge engineered it to do what it did. Not, created it entirely, but modified it before giving it to Niji to give as a wedding gift.

What I noticed is, Stealth Black's colors. He has an extra one the others don't. Red.

The siblings all have their signature colors, gold, and white on their costumes. But Sanji has red as a fourth color. Why does this matter?

Stealth Black is the colors of: Black, White, Yellow, and Red, with Gold.
The exact colors of the magnum opus or 'great work,' of alchemy.

The alchemical process stages being:
Nigredo(Black)
: Dissolution, putrification or decomposition. Also became a term by Jung for 'dark night of the soul,' or when a person confronts the shadow within.

Albedo(White): Purification, and washing away impurities. Wiki: In this process, the subject is divided into two opposing principles to be later coagulated to form a unity of opposites or coincidentia oppositorum during rubedo.' By Jung, the experience of awakening and involves a shift in consciousness where the world becomes more than just an individual's ego, his family, or country. A phase where insight into shadow projections are realized, and inflated ego and unneeded conceptualizations are removed from the psyche.

Citrinitas(Yellow): The dawning of the "solar light" inherent in one's being, and that the reflective "lunar or soul light" was no longer necessary. By Jung, it was the psychoanalysis stage.

Rubedo(Red): The last and final stage, where either gold or the philosophers stone were created, signifying the alchemical success. This stage is interestingly represented by blood, rose(love), and phoenix(mythical firey bird.) By Jung, the merging of ego and self, integration of opposites, sometimes the birth of a new personality. The Self manifests itself in "wholeness," a point in which a person discovers their true nature. Another interpretation phrased it as "reunification" which entail the reunion of body, soul, and spirit, leading to a diminished inner conflict.

Nigredo: Breakdown of Sanji in Wano, confronting what was happening.
Albedo: Attempts to wipe out what made Sanji himself, emotions, and the overcome of it.
Citrinitas: The light of Luffy, the sun, realization and acceptance.
Rubedo: Merging of both sides.

"But that's too reaching," you say.
Judge's first concept was Saint Germain, the namesake of a man IRL thought to be an immortal alchemist.

Stealth black is exactly as it looked in the Sora comic which was why everyone from the north blue immediately recognized it. If there had been a change, someone would have noticed it.

Judge never engineered the raid suits, and likely he never altered them either as he based the alterations he made to his children based on the abilities of the suits they’d be wearing.

The coloration is probably due to drawing constraints and oda wanted to add some white in the suit so readers can easily figure out how the suit looks. If everything was black and grey it’d be much harder, then the anime made it red due to how good the color palette looks.

I don't meam he literally used alchemy, or changed it to give the colors. Just that he modified it to give the modifications he fixed (it's been years, mad scientists don't just give up.) Alchemy being a reference in the colors.

And it's Red that's the odd color, not white.
Aside from Reiju, the brothers all have 4 colors, Sanji has 5.

Oda doesn't even have a proper reason to give for his fire and power ups.. And you guys trying to add these things.. :ohreally:

Which author would think about all that and add nothing about it in story..
It's not actually using alchemy, it's symbolism. Science is basically alchemy. The psychological stages of the alchemy process by Jung fit the episode and whole modifications thing to a T.

Funny thing is... StealthBlack was shown to wear a yellow suit in the comic

I found some more fun stuff!

Mainly, this little guy:

A green lion consuming the Sun is a common alchemical image and is seen in texts such as the Rosary of the Philosophers. The symbol is a metaphor for aqua regia (the green lion) consuming matter (the Sun), gold.
So in alchemy, the Green Lion represents 'vitriol,' a green sulphuric acid that destroys all matter except gold, leaving the gold behind as a form of purification. Since remember, the goal of the alchemic process is to create the philosophers stone or gold.

This ability regarded it as a 'sacred royal,' substance and thus was given the image of a lion trying to eat a sun, but as you see the sun mocks the lion. As it is unable to consume the sun.

Now if we take royal, strong enough to consume all matter, and green... we get Zoro.

If Stealth Black is the 4 stages of alchemy, then the green lion eating the sun is the death pact and final purification fight before gold (color of kings.)

Given Jung's form of the green lion symbolism it represents the violent instincts taking over the ego or ""inside a person, when the metaphor of the green lion eating the sun takes place, the person is compelled to act out destructively. In contrast, when the green lion eats the sun in a person on a higher spiritual path (an alchemist), the person allows the green lion to eat them in order to be purified—to become spiritually golden."""

Which definitely fits the deathpact.
