This chap put YT on fire lmao. Yesterday it was about the pacing, today is mainly about the Yuji part...

Eventhough I'm divided about it, Yuji having some soul swapping ability could have been foreshadowed since the beginning as he was able to literally "swap" his soul with Sukuna's on command.
I just hope there's more to it, soul swapping being just a part of a more extended soul manipulation/bending CT.

Now Gojo's attitude intrigues me. His facial expression and stare are out of his usual char.

Dude really is freaking serious, it gave me chills.

Pretty interesting chapter. The hype is real.
I'm divided on the origin of the Yuji/Kusakabe soul switch:
- the likeliest possibility is that it is Yuji's new power, and therefore Sukuna's actual technique
- the other possibility is that it's the CT of an ally (maybe an advanced application of somebody's CT)
- the least likely is that Yuji ate some (to us) unknown cursed object that gave him this ability

As a lot of readers, I agree with the idea that Yuji's portrayal always has been related to the soul(s)' theme.

His innate ability to repress Sukuna's soul and the insistent parallel Gege drawed between Yuji and Mahito (not to mention the Yuki's book stuff) heavily implies it imo.

So I think it is somehow Yuji's own awakened technique.

Until proven wrong in two chapters.

I wonder what will happen to Hajime... In the last few chapters, he seemed to be ignored by the author, even though we, the fans, had high expectations for him and his super technique that he would use in a fight against Sukuna.

There are three possibilities for this fight:

  1. He will appear in the middle of Gojo's fight and go towards Sukuna.
  2. It will happen before Gojo and Sukuna, which would kill off Hajime? LMAO.
  3. Sukuna kills Gojo and then faces Hajime (for narrative reasons, this is quite likely).

The way Hajime is (or was), he would go after Satoru and Sukuna, especially if his Cursed Technique is one that automatically unleashes a Domain with guaranteed accuracy, surpassing Infinity and hitting Sukuna, providing true entertainment for both of them to the point where they say, "Alright, let's see how strong this guy is."

Kashimo is fodder like Ishigori at this point. :josad:

I agree to some extent. I am not feeling the hype. Its getting rushed.
For me, Gege really messed up when it came to Megumi killing Tsumiki.

Saving Tsumiki was one of the main driving forces of the culling games, and its reinforced time and time again that a large part of why they acted the way they did during the culling games was specifically to save Tsumiki.

Then she dies...and no one really cares. Megumi's emotional conflict over killing his sister, his main driving force throughout the entire story, is reduced to a single page.

That should have been one of the most tragic and emotionally devastating fights in the series with an incredible urgency to it. But the heroes weren't there at all, and Megumi didn't show up in the slightest, making it pretty much just a flashy fight with no real heart to it, despite the fact it was quite possibly the easiest thing ever to make emotionally compelling, so its a conflict around one of the main emotional cores of the series.

Like, WTF. How do you mess up that badly?

Its the equivalent of setting up a perfect goal only to miss spectacularly in a way that defies human understanding. Its actually perplexing.

The chapter was actually solid. I didn't really expect the timeskip straight away. Obviously Gege has something to show us and wants to keep it a secret, especially with the Yuji and Kusakabe part. But I think it would be fine to see some reactions here and there. Especially from Gojo. Or why Gakunaji or whatever his name was is with him and alive.

Br0 this is crazy from Gojo tho. After healing with RCT Uraume is still in pain from a simple punch from Gojo

What kind of power did Yuji awaken now?

Is this Sukuna's actual CT that's now being engraved into Yuji?? Is it due to Yuki's research? We'll probably find out soon, but interesting development.

Gojo in that Toji getup was fire. Especially the way he walked in and everyone got chills from his aura. Even Hakari Yuta and Maki were showing signs of fear lmao. Even tho Gojo is on their side. Wild.

This was pretty wholesome ngl

Let's get it now :endthis:

Lmao

Viz bros are trolling:

"In a lot of Karate schools, and even some BJJ / MMA gyms, the term “Osu!” seems to mean everything and anything – including: “hi”, “hello”, “goodbye”, “okay”, “thanks”, “excuse me”, “hey there”, “come here”, “go there”,what’s up”, “look at me”, “do it this way”, “that way”, “do you understand?”, “I understand” and “train harder”."

https://www.karatebyjesse.com/meaning-oss-osu-japanese/

"Here are some of the contexts in which you can use Osu/Oss/Ossu/Ooss:

To greet: Osu can be used to greet and acknowledge someone in an obedient way. Generally, in many conventional martial art Dojos (a place for training, learning, or meditations), students bow to their master/instructor while saying “Oss”. This is done at the beginning and the end of the lesson.

To respond: Osu can be used as a response. If you say “Oss” after an instructor has demonstrated a technique, it means that you are affirming that you “got it”. It is a common practice in many Dojos. Here, “Oss” is interpreted as “Yes”, or “I Understand”.

To show respect: Just like showing respect to the instructor, one can use “Oss” while bowing down towards a mat. You can do this at a tournament, or even at practice. It can also be said at the beginning of a match. You can also respond with it when the referee asks if you are ready for the fight and if your name is Victor Sweet in Four Brothers you should not attempt to fight Bobby Mercer, but this is another topic."

This said, if accurate this translation opens a lot of possibilities, like Yuji being into two bodies at the same time (soul splitting) training himself (if it still makes sense).

I dunno how I would call myself if I could split my mind in two and put the second "me" in another body. That's f*cking confusing lmao.

Osu is just a thing Yuji says to say he agrees/will do smt/give it his all/comit to smt

Anyway, Foretokens is a fucking joke lol, fuck Viz
This (my post above). Yuji's usual "yosh".

Though I repeat myself: if the trans is accurate (basically "yeah!" instead of "yes, sir!") it could change this panel interpretation.

Instead of soul swapping it could be soul splitting + swapping (my post above again).

Which would change everything imo.

Edit: I don't think so anyway. Until confirmed it's just baseless speculations.

BTW do you think Gojo's outfit and the fact that he was with Gakuganji or whatever his name is lmao, is because they had a meeting with the higher ups? That's prolly one of the things Gojo had to do before the fight.

Which part lol?
His outfit isn't really that important to me, other than a nod to Toji. If that's even what Gege was going for.

But the fact that he didn't give us the satisfaction of seeing Gakuganji get killed by Gojo for killing his sensei/principal really is a let down

Probably a nod to Toji yeah but also imo there was prolly a meeting hence the outfit and Gaku being with him.

There must be something more to it. But with the recent pacing who knows if we'll ever see it lmao
