but if we’re talking about writing and how good characters are Gojo and Sukuna are very mid at best and not at all the best characters of the last decade

If you think people are suddenly going to think Hunter x Hunter is mid, then you really don't know how many people out there love Hunter x Hunter.

The series came back before and not once did people suddenly switched on Hunter x Hunter.

We've been saying this. Mahito brought life to this manga and carried S1 and S2 (pre culling games).

Mahito and Nanami are the best characters for me, along with Higuruma and Todo.
