Season one of JJK is mid. From S2 real JJK starts and especially from shibuya arc.

For me it for sure was the first time experiencing the Yuji and Todo dynamics which gave me most appeal to the series.
Also the female characters are great. I personally would never call S1 of JJK mid, else I wouldn't have enjoyed S2 for what it is.
