Okay lets just get into it

Everyone has noticed the lack of stakes in this battle. From Kaido being unable to kill a single person to the seemingly playful nature of the Luffy vs Kaido fight

Well, what if Oda had Kaido fail to kill Kin’emon coz it’d be particularly hard to have a redemption arc for Kaido if he did that?

Stay with me, do you remember the Naruto-Pain situation? Pain thought he was the child of prophecy that Jiraya foretold but turns out it was Naruto who was the prophesized one. Then Pain has a quick redemption arc and dies undoing the mess he caused

See where i’m going? Kaido thought he was Joyboy after King told him about Joyboy changing the world but turns out it was Luffy who would change the world as Joyboy. Then Kaido will have a quick redemption arc and die undoing the mess he caused.

For the death, My guess is Yamato stops the fire demon. Luffy beats kaido but then the island starts to fall coz the flame clouds disappear. Momo holds it up as everyone evacuates somehow. The castle is still burning though and Yamato is also trying to stop the castle fire but she is getting tired and injured. Kaido wakes up having had a change of heart and tells Yamato to save herself and evacuate. Momo is also tired now trying to push the island back and Kaido tells him to let it go, he will carry the island back himself. Kaido flies the island PLUS the explosives as the castle is burning all the way back until he comes across the CP-0 fleet that has come to take over wano. Kaido shouts “LUFFY WILL BE PIRATE KING” and drops the island on the entire CP-0 fleet with the explosives just starting to go off and BOOM. Kaido dies inside Onigashima destroying most of the CP-0 fleet that they retreat.

Of course somewhere along the way, we must have had the kaido flashback explaining this turn and all that.

Does this sound cringey? Yes. did that ever stop Oda before? No.

Outside of him shouting Luffy will be pirate king and stealing Momo’s big moment, it does sound like something that could happen, idk what the odds are but I can’t say it isn’t a possibility. The Naruto comparison does make me think, but I don’t think this will happen it’s still possible for things to turn very dark and I’m waiting to see what awakened Kaido is all about.

It's Kaido who talked to King about Joyboy maybe Lunarians are aware of that
Kaido replied to King that he is the only one who can change the world it heavily implies he already knew about Joyboy's fate

See last chapter, as in 1035 Kaido doesnt mention Joyboy when he talks about “Changing the world”… Its in this current chapter, 1036, that Kaido asks King “Do you still think im joyboy”… He is asking whether his idea of changing the world MATCHES Joyboy… the implication is that him wanting to change the world is seperate from him thinking he is Joyboy… Hence why is still on his crusade right now even when he no longer believes he is Joyboy

To me i read this situation as kaido said he would change the world… king told Kaido of a legend of Joyboy who would change the world… After some time they both stopped caring about whether kaido was joyboy and only really cared about kaido changing the world

Are we? We are for sure close to the ending but this is not the end of the arc lol. Should I remind you when Blackbeard appeared in Marinford? It was literally the lost 3 or 4 (I don't remember the exact number) chapters of the arc. Blackbeard appeared out of nowhere when no one expected, no one.

How did Blackbeard escape impel down, open the gates of justic, and pass through the Marians in front of their noses? Because he's fucking Blackbeard.

Or should I remind you how Laffite flew to Marijoa unnoticed by anyone!?

Did you forget that Blackbeard crew's DF abilities are ideal for covert operations?

Shiryu has the invisibility power, Catarina Devon can turn into anyone she wants to, while Laffite has the ability to fly and hypnotize anyone. There's no place that the Blackbeard pirates can't slip through. Maybe Blackbeard pirates are already in Wano, we just don't know it yet.

Alright… I guess… but then Blackbeard wouldn’t stop there I imagine… Why not grab Robin, kill Luffy and take the Poneglyphs too while he’s there… Like he’s a whole Yonko with potentially half or ALL his commander there with him…
