I think fundamentally Kan Ki is a monster that cannot be compensated for with pure intellect.
By my own head canon Ka Rin is slightly more intelligent

But beyond the stats canon or I give him, I think Kan Ki is a savant genius of warfare on a primal level. I headcanon and assume him to be a natural Hybrid Type, the only one besides Ren Pa. And on a human level, beyond the realm of war and generals, Kan Ki is a force of immeasurable capacity to do harm.
No matter what, in a match up this close, I take it for a guarantee Kan Ki will do Ka Rin harm.
