Future Events Kid is going to be used as a hypetool for Shanks

It almost feels like it's inevitable at this point doesn't it?

-We've seen Kid's reaction to the emperors reveal he immediatly wanted to kill Luffy to steal his place which means he is still very eager to become one of the Yonko

-Kid originally planned to go after Shanks before Kaido showed up on his island. These two already have history together as Shanks most likely was the one who cut off Kid's arm

-Shanks can't job in his first with BB after decades of expectations from the fans. Oda will have to portray him positively and having him fight and defeat a Yonko slayer (who will probably get aCoC in his fight with Shanks) will make for an extremely impressive feat

-There aren't really many other candidates to give Shanks a W, unless Oda is planning on to make the BB/Shanks a 2 round fight in which Shanks wins the first one, Admirals are saved for endgame and Shanks' meeting with the Gorosei would indicate he has no intention on waging war against the WG, Big Mom could MAYBE be another option if she somehow survived and escaped ...

Exactly. Oda is done humiliating Kidd & Law, now that he established them both solidly below luffy, he needs to start giving wins going forward. because every W for them is a W for luffy, more Ls do nothing for them or for luffy.
