General & Others kid will return to fight demonic dorry and brogy

Hachinosu is hundreds of miles away. How is Kid gonna drift all they way there before drowning?
It’s just him overthinking things

Kid drowned near elbaf, if he surfaces anywhere it will be there
He stole a ship/was saved/idk

Oda really doesn’t put much thought into this. Did we see how Bonney escaped Akainu? No not really, she just did.

it will be the same for Kid

I legit can’t think of a single storytelling reason why Kid needs to be randomly inserted into the current Elbaf storyline. Hopefully he’s just dead
Oda literally revealed a new backstory for Brook, he can easily pull off a CD related storyline for Kid

I think people underestimate Oda’s imagination

I thought he had a sliver of hope because I believed Gunko could be Victoria, but since Imu hijacked her body and she got a tiny crumb of lore that revealed she was alive when Brook was seemingly like, 20 or 30 years old, that's clearly never happening then.

. Hopefully he’s just dead
maybe

but it’s an odd choice to do it in egghead and not the massive war arc Oda spent years hyping up(wano).

These situations are nowhere near the same lmao

Occams razon, kid drowned near elbaf therefore he will resurface there
He could have. But egghead was some time ago. Luffy is no longer on egghead and Law is no longer on winner island.

Why should Kid remain on an island where he nearly got killed?

Tbh I know there's definitely a lore reason for why he took over her specifically, but, I'd have loved for him to possess Sommers or Killingham instead. Just far better designs and probably better abilities for Imu, especially since Imu would be able to do things like maybe strengthen the dream monsters?
Just an idea I'm throwing out, but it's mainly because that one panel of him fucking floating with panties on is one of the worst I've seen in this manga.

Egghead was literally a day ago in the story

yet Oda revived Pell the dead falcon without any meaningful reason
pell dying would have ruined alabasta

pell survives because it ruins the entire theme and message of alabasta if he dies. theres multiple major scenes about this including the one in my av where luffy tells crocodile to his face "she doesnt want a single person to get killed in this rebellion". crocodile telling them "just throw away one or two friends and you can be out of this." the entire "people die" conversation where luffy punches vivi in the face literally ends with luffy making her promise to accept their help so they actually can save everyone. the conflict was never about luffy telling vivi that she has to accept her friends dying, it was about him telling vivi to accept that her friends wanted to share the risk, because vivi wanted to try and stop the war herself and he knew that would fail.

the idea that pell dying was a last minute change, or that he was supposed to die, or that pell dying would make the story better is so fucking stupid and i cant believe its so popular. it makes no sense and the only reason you'd think its a good idea is if you just didn't pay attention to the story and only read one piece for the fights. except they even talk about it during the fights so theres no excuse lol. pell is the fucking guardian deity of alabasta. if he dies the country starts to fall apart and its not a triumph its a compromise. crocodile's ideology wins because they just threw away a friend.
like if Pell should die, maybe the entire arc should not have been written so that "one single character dying" is set up as a condition for loss by both vivi and the main character. maybe you'd write the moral lesson to be about accepting death instead of accepting risk. that would probably be a completely different arc though.

The panel where Luffy gets serious and sits down like a Yakuza old man and talks to Crocodile is like the entire summary of the arc. "Vivi doesn't want a single person to die in this rebellion". But everyone reads this version instead.

i cant believe anyone was dumb enough to think victoria shiruton doruyanaika would be a plot-relevant character. She's a one-note joke and doesn't even look like Gunko.
