so there has been a rumour around the fandom that kid is a ' bad matchup ' for swordsmen cause of his magnetic powers
and we have yet to see anything from kid's magnetic powers with which he can simply pull a weapon from a competent weapon user
here u have two instances of kid pulling metal from the area while zoro is around
he just wasnt able to do it even tho zoro was in his range and i doubt he specially choses the people he wants to take weapons from or some shit in these scenes
- now u got kid who is a ' bad matchup ' for swordsmen and who will ultimately pull weapons from his opponent's get his arm sliced off by a swordsman or a
supposed ' hakiman ' who uses a sword for show .
- kid used his awakening and he made bigmom a magnet and even with those powers , law's kikoku wasnt pulled by kid's magnetism ( law who's physical strength isnt even highlighted much ) and this technique was just so goated that kid needed help to get out from the crossfire.
- imo the only way kid can actually pull a weapon from a competent swordsman is mark the weapon with his awakening like here
- kid always needs to extend his hand towards his opponent whenever he tries to mark them with his awakening and against swordsmen who are specialised in cqc fighting this can go really bad
