General & Others Killing Vegapunk is such shitty writing and to make it worse Oda sends fodder after him.

Oda turning World Government into buffoons where they put more effort into killing their top scientist than they do in trying to kill Robin or Joy Boy Nika. Vegapunk knowing too much information does not mean it's okay to kill him off. This subplot of WG wanting to kill Vegapunk is just Oda's lazy way of writing where he wants an easy path in making Vegapunk another Strawhat ally. And to make it worse Oda sends fodder CP0 with Seraphim to kill the person who created them, that is some great writing there. While at the same time Kizaru and the other admirals are at home sitting on their asses getting high twiddling their thumbs.

I said it many times during the spoilers so I will just repeat if you don't mind.

It only makes sense if this is a part of the cleansing shit.

When fodders/humanity in general get too advanced, Im/Gorosei decide to do a social reset and kill everyone who are too smart for this era.

Ancient Kingdom probably wasn't ancient but advanced as fuck hence why WG decided to put an end to it so they can keep everything best for themselves and rule over the low iq people.

If it's not and Oda just wants to involve Vegapunk assasination plot then it is strictly retarded but we both know it.

Loneliness and discriminations are themes ONLY for the first 24 volumes.

It has nothing to do with setting it up though, because that was going to happen regardless. Vegapunk was already interested in wanting to speak to them upon their arrival.

This is just Oda's way of bringing some kind of conflict into the arc, which is definitely plot convenience, due to the timing of it coinciding with the Straw Hats arrival.

You do raise a good point. At the end of chapter 1062, Lucci does refer to the Kuma Serpahim as a "problem child" which might mean that Vegapunk hasn't given them complete control over the Seraphims, and they tend to act up and not strictly obey commands.

This is a common thing in stories, you get rid of people that know too much even if they are valuable. Besides we don't know all the reasons why they want to kill Vegapunk, Lucci talked about Lulucia kingdom, there could be some other things involved, this is just the beginning of the arc.
As for sending fodders lol. Lucci, Kaku and Stussy aren't fodders, Vegapunk is working with WG and isn't supposed to know they were sent to kill him so it would be easy to approach him for them. Assuming they are high tiers, they should be able to kill him if they get close to the real one.
