Character Discussion King is the most boring antagonist in the entire series.

His strength does make up to it, but if King continues the way he is the problem for me is his character will never be memorable and just forgotten as an extra character.

If you look at Zoro's past opponents, only a very few are still talked about, King likely won't be one of those.

That’s my issue with Zoro’s opponents… they never stand out not to mention the guy who is dream to be WSS never faced someone of the same dream!! Where is the challenge in obtaining this title if there’s one obstacle or rival whatever you call it besides the man who hold the title himself. Zoro needs more focus on this regard tbh.

I dont hate on King cause hes boring. I knew he was boring when I wanted Sanji to fight him. Hes just highly unimpressive which is a fact.

King is legit the most interesting calamity. Jack has built up for years alongside Kaido and played a crucial role as an arc antagonist in Zou. Queen got something in the Udon mini-arc and he has been the most dangerous antagonist on Onigashima raid outside Big Mom and Kaido. Even during the party proper, he was portrayed as the heartbeat of the Beast Pirates while King was busy scamming the Tobi Roppo to a meeting using Kaido's name. The last nail on the coffin was when Oda relegated his bounty to Vivre Cards alongside the Roppo.

Luffy is the main character.
All the other crew members are like accesories for him.
So their opponents don't need to be special (aside from Mihawk and BB's crew), he is another common stepping stone.

P.S: although yeah, King is a quite underwhelming when compared to Queen, even Jack is more interesting wth.
P.S2: for now he is a Fire Mink, his race is not more special. I wouldn't say that part is interesting.

King is a disappointment. Idk why he couldnt let him solo Marco and let him get some hype. Especially if hes gonna fight Zoro. Hes been nothing but a disappointment and has been overshadowed by Queen in terms of threat and feats. With only having his potrayal equal to him.

Like its really hard to believe that King’s Wildfire is as dangerous as Queen’s Plagues. Just a disappointment….sigh.
