Seems like he's equivalent to Kaishibou who equals Renpa in "destructive power", and it was Gyou'un who wore the mantle that represented Zhao's martial might in the same era that Renpa was alive
Plus we know that Gyou'un has weight like Gaimou, and Shin explicitly said that Gaimou's blow was exactly like Renpa's

If they did, Gyou'un wouldn't have survived that encounter.
Ou Hon (and Shin) were stronger fighters before the Western Zhao Invasion arc began.
If Shin didn't need time to acclimate to Ou Ki's glaive, he would've finished the job in their first encounter.

That Raigoku technique of GyouβUn was very lethal. It's a testament to Ouhon's sheer skill as a warrior (not all top tiers are as skilled as him) that he was able to put on that kind of showing but let not also forget that his unit rescuing him (by engaging Gyou'Un's soldiers) was a decisive factor. Otherwise he would certainly have lost his life - aside from being defeated.
