That would've done the trick too, without ever including Ren Pa or Go Kei, or the fact Haku and Raku were newly minted 1K Commanders.
I don't know why Hara didn't just do the legwork, or at least start to, when they visited Shintei? Imagine if we got to see that night Tou and Raku spent drinking and talking together. It would've been cool for Shin to be around such an environment, like the time Ou Ki visited Ren Pa.
We could've had more time Kan Pi Shi and Shin, learned a bit more about Raku and Haku, the history of Han, its king and royal family - and none of it would have to take up much more space than a few lines of dialogue here and there. There was so much opportunity there and in other parts. Nanyou was fertile ground for learning more about Haku in particular, and the "doomstar" nonsense could've been easily dropped on us at that point - it would've still been silly to me, but the execution would've been miles better.
My only pushback to this is that talent can spring up anywhere and having two really talented generals being a big part of why Han is still standing (aside from the fact other states would send aid out of self interest) works for me.
What absolutely does not work for me is how Hara has gone about it.
Makes me wonder what to expect of Yan and Qi down the line.

qi king looks like he has absolute confidence in his monsters.
If qi really will submit to Qin, I hope when the Zhao saga ends, we can have an arc that’s like 20 chaps long and it’s Chu vs Qi. Even if it’s just designed to show us who Chu will have to face qin later. Won’t happen but still.

Can I just talk about how these super powerful generals keep popping up out of nowhere and somehow are supposed to give the Hi Shin unit trouble - the very same unit who has fought tooth and nail non-stop since their inception in some of the largest and most pivotal battles for Qin?
