Character Discussion King's mask

#21
You ass hat, there is no reason for them EVER suspect that the cracker was fake. The fuck you on.

That's like investigating your own mother for being Ronald Mccdonald in disguise.

Why the fuck would they ever suspect and care to investigate cracker? Going by your logic they have to investigate EVERYONE on the planet in case they are not real. Fucking retarded logic.

Meanwhile King had the traits of Lunarian (black wings, fire on the back) AND he showed up in Kaido's crew after it was known that a lunarian escaped with Kaido.
It's not that hard to figure out that King is a lunarian. Fucking Marco did it without even knowing what's special about them
Why do you feel the need to insult someone in every single comment you make

Why did he wear a mask? His flashback indicated his freedom by going with kaido. Opposing and changing the world.
So why did he start wearing a mask in order to hide his racial origin (also a very poor attempt considering the wings and the flame).
Why is he afraid of the WG finding out? He's got a 1+B bounty as right hand of a yonko ffs.

Bad plot?
Inconsistency?
Hidden crucial events that led to it which we will learn in 9 years in some sbs and don't give a fuck about anymore?
When King wears a mask, and covers his entire body skin, it is the perfect disguise for a Lunarian in a crew called the Beasts Pirates (or the Animal Kindom Pirates). People might think like Zoro, that his wings are part of his DF, and that his fire is a weapon just like his serrated sword (prehaps built by Queen?). It is much more likely to them that King is a human with a DF, like Queen, than him being the only man in the world of an extinct race almost nobody knows about.

King's flashback began with him chained and tortured. He followed Kaido hoping for freedom like you said, but he soon realized that Kaido is not Joy Boy, his goals were not freedom but violence. In a crew of treaturous people competing for strength, he couldn't ever let his guard down. There's a reason why the WG is persecuting his people, and there's a reason why his people were extinct, probably by the hands of that same government, who might hold the knowledge of how to destroy them.

I think that the fact that even the smartest man in the world was surprised that Arbel was in Kaido's crew, even if they left together, is that Vegapunk knows the history of Ohara, and it wouldn't seem at all likely to him that a Lunarian would join someone like Kaido. Arbel was supposed to wait, alive, to meet with the next Joy Boy. That is I think why he was afraid. As the last one of his people, he probably carried some mission on his shoulders. He couldn't allow himself to die before he met with Joy Boy and the world is changed.

Personally my conjecture is that Arbel has something to do with the 3 ancient weapons. That's why Kaido chose to sit right above Pluton and claimed he could acquire them all, and that's why Arbel was waiting for Joy Boy.

Pretty terrible writing; not only is he rolling with one of the top 3 most wanted men in the world, he already has a high bounty he's living in a country that the WG were terrified to have a problem with and given that Cuckbull just left him alone he can't have been that big of a deal to them.

None of them are afraid of the WG, even a scrub like Jack was unafraid to attack 2 admirals by himself and he had no hesitation in attacking Big Mom and her entire crew. So he can't have been afraid by any reasonable logic at all.

The only thing I can think of is that Oda wanted him to give him a major reveal and make him as important as possible and his design may also have stolen some of Kaido's thunder. Which is a fine writing device, but Oda failed at making it believable from an in-world perspective so it ended up being bad.

If King's design and background had been revealed from the start, he probably would have been as popular as Dogtooth.

It is clear that Oda came up with King race bullshit midfight.

Zoro started fighting King making him bleed while flames on. Then suddenly he can't damage him anymore.

King used to be tested as experiment by WG. They pretty much already know everything is has to know about his race. It is pointless to hide.

King's race was first mentioned by Big Mom when she was brought to Onigashima, that was before the fight.

That is exactly why he must hide, if he wants to stay alive until Joy Boy appears. Kaido's protection is not enough, he needs to take further measures.

I'm talking about the special abilities of his race.

Nope. He being at Wano under Kaido protection is enough. Not only that but he himself is strong as fuck.

GB and Akainu let clear that WG wouldn't invade Wano. Either because of Kaido or Samurai.

Plus as I said King was already tested by WG. They know about him.

The way people in this thread talk about king as if he was a good person who lost his way lol, king alongside all beast pirates is a horrible person, zoro should have beheaded him after using king of hell.
Yes, up until chapter 1034 I could have agreed with you. Even at 1035 I was happy that Zoro won on first reading. But King's backstory and handsome face changed how I feel.

In one of the SBS's, Oda was asked why his villains always look so ugly and his answer was, well, that he hated them. So when Oda drew King good looking, obviously he didn't share your opinion that he really is the horrible person he was portrayed to be in the beginning of the arc.

Buggy, Robin, Franky, Mister 2, Mister 3, and Bege were all horrible characters when they first appeared. But when they joined Luffy, they changed for the better. King's backstory taught us he was waiting for Joy Boy, and Joy Boy is Luffy, so there's a very good chance the same will happen to King if and when they finally meet.

You can hate him as much as you want, as long as he isn't dead, I'll keep hoping his long lost dream would come true, because the fact that his people once lived on top of the Red Line tells me he will be more relevant in the final saga than he ever was in Wano.

King was actively contributing for the further slavery, hunger and drought of a huge nation of people who had NOTHING to do with what happened to both his race and his personal Life.

If it wasnt for SHs, kaido alongside king and the rest of BP would have killed millions while enslaving the ones who survived, are you rlly trying to convince me that king is not that bad ????

As for robin, she most likely killed only other pirates, i dont recall her killing regular civilians.
