I'd agree if 90% of it wasn't offscreened.
Two of the coolest powersets in the verse and absolutely nothing to show for it, wtf man
At least show them close up and boxing with each other like Kuzan and Garp did, c'mon....I get that this was around the time Oda got his eye surgery but this was such a nothing fight.

It gave us some of the best scenes the One Piece anime has ever produced, but it lacks continuity. The coolest thing about the fight is something you touched on, Kizaru's ability to adapt to G5. Out of every character to deal with G5 Kizaru adapted to its shenanigans the fastest, even joined in on the trolling.

Me and someone else came up with the idea that Kizaru might embrace a monke form after this whole vs Luffy encounter and the Nika reveals with him, Vegapunk, Kuma, Bonney etc. Luffy might have "freed" him from being a cog/slave to the system and Kizaru will rebel and "see the light", "he can see clearly now the rain has gone" etc and ironically Luffy has become the "light in the darkness", the guiding light of hope, direction, change, prosperity etc. The beacon in the fog he needed.
Maybe Kizaru will be the King Kong we desperately need and make himself a giant hard light Oozaru with his awakening? Lmao.
