What if it isnt Bonney the reason why Kuma sold himself what if he sold himself to the WG to save his kingdom?

When Oda drew Kuma and Bonney when they were kids, it was seem that their kingdom was a very poor kingdom what if their kingdom was part of celestial tribute of the celestial dragons? And its either he save his kingdom from selling himself so his kingdom wont pay this tribute or the WG gave him a huge sum of money for the coporation for the experiments.

thats not enough reason tho to agree with the WG to make him a mindless cyborg, it wont also make sense how when he was conscious he still follow the higher ups.

i think there’s a big reason why he chose to follow them like for example is his love for his kingdom
