So BB will also need them to accomplish his dream.

If the Chilly Chilly Fruit is passed down through the Marines like some people think, it's entirely possible that the person who froze the Galley-Ra Giants was a Marine using Kuzan's Fruit.
We know that Shiki wanted an Ancient Weapon, and that Shiki/the other Rocks' Pirates learned a lot from Rocks about the world. I think Shiki wanted the same weapon Rocks did: Pluton.
Galley-La is connected to Pluton, the Giant Battleships, creation, with Pluton being built in Water 7, and now, suddenly, we have a group of Ancient Giant shipwrights that are so ancient, they're a legend to Jarul, who was over 300 years old when he told Harald?
The Galley-Ra Giant Shipwrights built Pluton, and then were eventually captured and imprisoned for it, like Tom was supposed to be.
Pluton is said to be "slumbering" and needs to "awaken": I believe Pluton is a Sea Beast turned into a Submarine, like Laboon-san.
In order to manage Pluton, you need an expert crew of Shipwrights large enough to make the repairs.
Since Kuzan showed up after the Straw Hats left, it makes all the sense in the world that he unfroze the Shipwrights of Galley-Ra.
Knowing how loyal/thankful the Giants are, with Dorry + Brogy, Oimo + Kashii, and Hajrudin all loving Usopp and nearly worshipping him, the Galley-Ra Shipwrights now most likely worship Kuzan as their Hero/God.
This is very interesting, because it means the Galley-Ra Shipwrights will likely ally with Kuzan more than Teach in coming battles, in case Kuzan does betray Teach.
