However,we don't know if it makes you totally invulnerable or just makes you not age anymore(biological natural death)!
Brook's devil fruit kinda already makes one immortal,in the sense that his flesh doesn't rot!(just bones anyway yohoho)!
But i think Ope ope effect is a different beast:it makes you a terminator basically,Ope Ope no mi is called the Ultimate DF for a reason!
So if this is case,Law will probably do a reverse immortality surgery to put down IM for good!
I think WG just wants giants to have the strongest fodder soldiers,BM said if he had the giants by her side she would be Pirate King already!

Ope Ope give immortality at the expense of the user life, thats quite clear from the Manga. This Idea of "give just the user lifespan" is just youtuber headcanon.



And probably the same power can take the immortality away, that's the role Law will play in the Final War, give his life to take immortality away from Imu. There's no reason for Oda to have made him a D. if he isnt gona play a big role in the downfall of the WG.

The only biologically immortal being is presumanly Im sama right now. Don't think there's a robust number of them.
