I've lately been thinking about another option: Magnifying objects. If Kroom is the fusion between Room and an object, then intangibility is not the only thing. Room can also EXPAND massively.

And who knows, maybe Law can make giants out of himself and Kid.

Yeah, as expected magnification is a part of his awakening. This means he can make himself a giant, or gigantify people around him.
I think this will come into play against Big Mom at the end.
