Nope. Not like this.
I will say that again, me and many others were completely fine to have Luffy near Admiral level post-timeskip specially when he used G4 agaisnt Doffy and didn't ran from Fujitora.
But Oda had to create fake tension all over the timeskip making Luffy getting arrested every arc, almost dying to Hody(serious? Hody?), Caesar(again! Caesar!), Doflaming(acceptable), Cracker, BM, Katakuri, Kaido...
It is really hard to appreciate something like that. Luffy learns FS at WCI, uses at beginning of Wano but not against Batman and Gazelleman? He got two-shotted by Apoo and now is tanking Kaido's Thunder Bagua's and Ragnarok's?

Can't appreciate. The way Oda write Luffy is suck in my opinion.
The problem is that Oda let Luffy in top form get one-shot while doing no damage to Kaido. This set the standard of the extremely huge gap between them.
With this, it will be super difficult to convince intelligent readers to believe that Luffy could beat Kaido in 2 weeks after such pathetic state. Oda needs to enter god-tier writing mode to deliver convincing narrative. Instead, we got trash writing with tons of ridiculous plot armor as the explanations.
In short, Oda should not let Luffy get neg diff at the first place. He should not use Luffy to hype up antagonist while using the same antagonist to hype up Luffy. This is the sad spiral, leading to the lack of believability of Luffy progression.

The so called intelligent readers become low IQ readers when it is same with Zoro. Fainted and slept for 24 hours for mere stab and all of a sudden can tank TB and nothing happened after that. Hard to believe someone fainted to person who can't even get his weapon back to scaring Kaidou within a week. More believable right.
