I mentioned this in the next nakama thread, but allow me to expand. Please see the below:
The Uo Uo looks like the Azure dragon... but...
The second animal, representative of the paw paw, was a cat. Now, you could just say it's an ordinary cat, but I think this is a stealthy hint by Oda. The religious animal of Alabasta was the SEA CAT. But why? My theory is that the Paw Paw gives you paw pads based on an animal that is most appropriate for you. For Lili, she was the Sea Cat, and in turn, this became the focal point of Alabastian myth. Lili is effectively a religious figure -- she even disappeared, never to return.
We know Lili did something to the Poneglyphs. We also know the WG hunts down fruits of significance for them. They hunted the Nika Nika/Gomu Gomu (linked to Joyboy), and we know they had the Paw Paw fruit in their possession. It was considered valuable enough to be a grand prize alongside Kaido's fruit. My thought is, like many, that Lili spread the Poneglyphs around the world with her power, that of the Paw Paw, and in turn, the WG coveted her fruit and kept it under lock and key.
Until Kuma took it.
Now people are converging on Egghead. Kuma is coming. It's not unlikely that Vivi is. She is going to inherit Kuma's fruit and Lili/Cobra's will.

I think the Paw Paw Fruit was used to spread the Poneglyphs as well, and that's why they're indestructible: Lili Awakened the Fruit and used it to make the Poneglyphs made in Wano out of presumably Sea Stone permanently repel any damage done to them, making them effectively indestructible.
If Lili is tied to the Seacat, which seems to be the case, then we need to look at other people associated with Mary Geoise that could be connected to her narrative.
Seacat = Fisher Tiger, who climbed the Red Line to free slaves in Mary Geoise.
So, Lili never left Mary Geoise, because she was caught after freeing the Poneglyphs with her powers. Like Fisher Tiger, and Kuma, she assaulted Mary Geoise by hereself, to preserve the history the Ancient Kingdom died trying to defend.

If this is true Lili is one of the GOATS of history 
Vivi looks like Lili did and Imu can't stand that basic fact, because Lili is the sole reason Imu didn't win all those years ago. If it wasn't for the Poneglyphs, the Ancient Kingdom would have been doomed, because they couldn't have preserved the history themselves, as seen with places like Ohara. The WG is just too powerful, the Ancient Kingdom needed a trump card they could hide while the world was rebuilt after the great cleansing.
900 years ago, Lili scattered the Poneglyphs the WG had stolen around the world (it's possible she failed when it comes to one Road Poneglyph, and that the Road Poneglyph owned by the Man Marked by Flames was retained by Imu after Lili's attack, and Lili died just short of her goal). Then, the WG spent the next 100 years fighting the Great War/committing the Great Cleansing, and killed as much of the remnants of the Ancient Kingdom as they could.
In the end, the Ancient Kingdom lost, but the damage done to the World Government was huge, and they could no longer rule the world as they had. So many resources, technology, history, and culture was lost in those 100 years, that it set the world back nearly a millenia. Those who survived the Ancient Kingdom's downfall swore to guard the secrets of the Poneglyphs and the Will of D, only spreading the message to those they could completely trust as Nakama, which is why the Ancient History was lost. The world needed to be rebuilt, before Imu and the Gorosei could be defeated.
Joy Boy had the Noah constructed for Fish Man Island by the ancient shipwrights of Water 7 who built Pluton, to bring them to the surface once the Dawn arrived, and Joy Boy returned.
The real question here is: does the Man Marked by Flames actually have a Road Poneglyph, and, if so, who does he work for?
