how do you think big mom reacted to katakuri lose ?
We know when snack lost she thought he doesn’t deserve to be a sweat commander anymore and demoted him.
do you think she beat him up as we know big mom beats her kids ?

I think that she got mad a him and as a punishment demoted him from the sweat commander title making smoothie her only hope ... smoothie is still young she is in her early 30s while katakuri is in his early 50s yet they are very close

so now big mom pirates are like this:
Captain: big mom
First commander: smoothie :steef:
Second commander: Perospero :goyea:

Snack ,cracker and katakuri are not respected by big mom anymore but she is probably like why kill them they are still good fighters but not worthy of my sweat commander title that affects my repetition etc

smoothie surpassing katakuri soon y’all :kata:

The headcanon is to say Kidd defeated Snack when he himself said he injured one commander and left and Brûlée said the only one to have defeated a commander was Urouge.

Tbh I highly doubt smoothie will surpass him but a man can dream lol... it’s not impossible though

you think big mom won’t demote him ? Katakuri lost to luffy the thing she hates the most , even if it’s not a rational decision big mom does what she lusts after... that how it’s been shown.
She also probably has this pride in her sweat commander title that she won’t tolerate it to be a joke (from her POV) where one of her sweat commander loses to a rookie in her own territory

I think BM was more shook by the fact of everything in total: that a rookie stole her ponyglyph, beat two of her top commanders including the strongest subordinate, ruined her wedding plans, verbally trolled her and escaped virtually unscathed and significantly stronger- and the whole world knew her shame. Kat losing is only one part of that, BM as a yonko lost to Luffy that arc in the eyes of the world.
She came to Wano to reclaim the clout that Luffy took. Demoting her top subordinate won't help her.
