I think it’s more deep than that because it’s seems big mom lost respect for snack she didn’t even bother inviting him to the tea party
if I was perospero I will not tell big mom about katakuri’s defeat... the rage she was in when cracker was defeated doesn’t seem like a pleasant reaction one will be brave to confront
Katakuri is the dude that set the standard for Sweet Commander that the other kids try to match. Makes no sense to demoted him or Cracker. Serves no purpose. Snack lost to Urouge, a dude who just came to the New World then Cracker proceeded to send him running. The inability to best an opponent that another Sweet Commander can best (easily) is probably how she demotes. Not to mention chances are Snack was the dude who Kid scarred, then Kid just left. If so, that's back-to-back loses so him getting demoted makes sense. Katakuri never lost as a Sweet Commander till Luffy came, the other kids don't have that under their belt so I don't see Kat getting his title taken. Not to mention a bunch of Big Mom's kids still respect Kat and even wonder if he'll lead if Big Mom dies. No mention of him losing his title.
