well this is op not a shakespeare story i get it you guys love doflamingo but you can't deny he was a piece of shit he owned slaves he turned people into toys and deleted any memories of their existence him being a rapist isn't far fetched and you guys need to realize that

Every fictional story since the 17th century has followed one or two tropes established by Shakespeare and Shakespeare too in his works followed many tropes that were already established way before him.
By the way why would Viola call him "Doffy" if he was just her rapist?

He is a piece of shit but still he doesn't hurt those he considers his family. His editor didn't want it included in the manga because it's weird and disturbing.
I'm not saying it was an awesome relationship, she probably had regrets about it but nothing says it wasn't consensual.

How...did this already turn into a referendum on consent?? Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for respecting women’s bodies, but it’s possible to likely that Viola banged Doffy because...she wanted to bang him. Plenty of ladies like a bad guy and vice versa; does it get any badder than someone usurping the throne from your father and controlling your former kingdom through influence and lies??
