blackwashing is to be expected from netflix. they did less of it than i thought they would. nojiko, roux, usopp's mom; not really the most important characters. perhaps usopp should have been a mulatto, but focusing that precisly on the color gets weird also. i just hope they don't repeat with vivi what they did with cleopatra.

I mean... Oda determined at least the MCs' and a couple side characters' ethnic origins. Sticking to that wouldn't have harmed anyone (except the woke special unique leftie snowflakes with in the US). The rest is up the director and Oda I think. Choice of actors heavily depends on what audience you wanna reach and people are very picky and also sensitive to that kind of shit these days. So 'coloring' the thing up might not be a bad idea, from business perspective.

Haven't watched the LA yet but tbh I hope it's not like Matrix 4
