Character Discussion Loki: A True Ancient Giant

#1
Something that was not mentioned in the spoilers I think is that Estrid also carries the blood of ancient giants and is actually much taller than normal giants. Idk why she doesnt have the horns though, cant be a male only thing cause we do have an Oni (Yamato) having horns.

Anyway, seems like the Harald and Estrid hidden/dormant genes (whatever they are) got awakened in Loki and Loki became a true ancient giant (complete headcanon new term but anything for a theory). Also someone mentioned about Ida (Hajrudins mother) being the Mosa person that Loki was talking to and I liked that idea. Seeing how Loki never respected her when he badmouthed Hajrudin means that she never got to take care of Loki but now she has gotten the chance and Shanks managed to do it by connecting them.

Yeah, it sounds like Estrid had Ancient Giant blood, too. So, Loki just got a double dose of Ancient Giant blood in him.

But, I don't think Mosa will turn out to be Ida. Mosa seems to speak a bit more formally than Ida does. Ida seems to speak more casually (and probably with a bit of a "accent"). And Mosa seems to have a more shy and fearful personality than Ida does. And if Mosa was Ida....I feel like Ida would just go to visit Loki in person, rather than use a Den Den Mushi to communicate. Ida seems like the kind of person who would not care if she isn't supposed to visit Loki. She'd still visit him and probably bring him food, anyway. Because Ida is just the best like that.

Also, the other Giants were around when Mosa called Loki in chapter 1151, and I feel like one of them would have commented on Hajrudin's mom calling Loki. I will admit though, Hajrudin was conveniently away saving Scopper at the time of the call. So maybe that IS the way Oda's going with it? But, I doubt it.

I'm still betting on Mosa being Imu, but that's just my pet theory.

Personally, and I hate to say this, but I am expecting Ida to end up succumbing to the "flashback mother curse". Because Oda is cruel like that.

I'll admit, it's pretty baseless speculation on my part.

The TCB version of the translation included a translation note that the island that Ida's from is based somewhat on Hokkaido. Hokkaido is pretty famous for having a pretty unique and memorable regional dialect. So, I'm assuming that Ida is probably speaking in a somewhat Hokkaido-like regional dialect.

But, no I can't speak Japanese at all. We'd have to ask someone who can speak Japanese to tell us for sure. I'm probably jumping the gun on this one.

We don't know where she is or what happened to her. Maybe she is in danger or in hiding?

It seems like there are two Ancient Giant variants. The black horns seem to be far rarer. A full-blooded white horn types like an Oars, has a more ogre like look. Harald in comparison looks too humanoid too be a full, but perhaps their equivalent is different.
