Lucas recently said that star wars was always meant for kids.
That means we are creating things that are more likely to make you consume our other products. The story has too many inconveniences and the author teases the ending while the shonen jump executives are saying we are looking forward to make one pieces 30th aniversary glorious. It all comes down to money and oda is a sellout.

Does anyone who can read japanese explain how wano is being recieved in Japan? We don't have anything to go off besides sales, and I think a lot of people would be curious.
Most Polls show a favourable reaction. Sales aren't really that relevant because the decline started after FMI when Marineford hype died out. Now One Piece is back to 00s sales

The interesting part is that newer Manga are selling better than One Piece's 00s Rivals. Not sure why

There's always been shambles in op:
- since EL the whole Zoro v sanji craziness
- since mihawk was introduced the shanks vs mihawk madness
- since MF the over and underrating of both admirals and yonko fans
- since alabasta death being a joke in op
I really don't remember a time the fandom hasn't been at each other. I honestly think oda likes it that way as it drives conversation and just boosts op in general cuz people constantly argue about something in it.
