Speculations Loyalty hierarchy in Blackbeard's crew

#22
While I would like Kuzan to be really loyal to BB, and maybe he is, I think he has his own agenda that will drive him away.

And now that I think of it, it's not like it is not the same for the others. If Shiliew had his own agenda, he would betray in a heartbeat.

So yes, maybe Aokiji is indeed the most loyal.

Not sure if SBS or interview. But it was ridiculous statement of him.

That's why I say only manga is canon. Nothing outside of it. No matter if SBS is directly Oda giving answers or interviews that Oda is given. Guy is human he makes mistakes. He is no God. There is no GODA. Just human being full of flaws Oda.
Yeah I don't know, maybe East Blue Zoro, but it's such a wild comment out of context.
Luffy would never give that order, Zoro would never follow it, why is that even discussed.

I think no Zoro would ever do it just like no Luffy would ever ask for it. But it is what it is. Loda!

The context would be how he explained Zoro loyalty. Saying he is the most loyal.

Didn't Oda said that Teach makes Burgess the captain of the 1st ship because he's the most loyal?

Anyway,

1. Burgess
2. Lafitte
3 and 4 are Augur and Doc.

Then 5 and 6 are probably Kuzan and Shiryu.

7, 8 and 9 are Vasco Shot, Sanjuan Wolf and Catarina Devon (interchangeable).

10 would be Pizarro. He wants to be a captain and Lafitte calls his ass out for that. He's the least loyal.

Great thread, I agree with your takes mostly except for Kuzan
Kuzan is still a primary suspect. If it wasn't for this conversation with Smoker I'd have actually bought Kuzan being a fully fledged captain

He immediately rushed to Smoker's aid, hasn't really given up on his friends.

His moral compass hasn't changed, his perspective and way of life did

He outright told Smoker the best course of action for the Navy to take, he's still a sailor at heart

This isn't that clear but you can see frozen tears under his eyes, indicating he's not really happy about what he's done

Oda adding this comment makes me believe it is not simple PIS that they managed to escape
Kuzan could easily freeze them even after an hour of sailing

Since Kuzan is in the same tier of strength as Teach, and has ulterior motives that don't include being a scummy cutthroat I think he's the most likely to stab Teach in the back, or at least pack his bags and leave the crew. He's playing the game too well to be true.

It's funny when you stop and think that Aokiji was risking his neck and fighting his own mentor who once admired all this in the name of a sea emperor, these subordinates are incredible.:milaugh::milaugh:
