Speculations Lucci And Zoro Postponing Is Objectively The Most Likely Outcome

That doesn't change the fact it's the truth.
Oda had Zoro waste time against Hyouzou, Monet and Pica.
Against Hyouzou, Zoro broke all of Hyouzou's sword and told Hyouzou the fight was boring. He then left (postponed) their battle. Later he oneshot him and the fishman were amazed by his strength.
Against Monet, Zoro fought her for about 3 chapters. Did nothing but block her attacks and postponed their battle after Tashigi arrived. He stepped in only to save Tashigi and showed Monet he could have defeated her at any time during their battle. Tashigi was shocked and amazed by Zoro's growth and strength.
Against Pica, he fought him for about 15 chapters. Even clashed evenly during a sword duel. When the time came Oda had Zoro defeat Pica mountain size Golem and oneshot Pica who was covered in blackened haki. The citizens of Dressrosa and coliseum warriors were all shocked and amazed by his strength. They even believe Zoro didn't participate in the tournament to give other fighters a chance to win.
Regardless if some wish to acknowledge it or not, what we are currently seeing against Lucci is nothing new. Anyone believing Zoro vs Lucci is extreme difficult battle haven't paid attention to Zoro's previous battles.
