I like them both but Lucci played his role flawlessly. Kaido was turned into a joke too many times even before looney tunes force became a thing.

I think Kaido is underrated as a villain.

Both are great. In the manga, Kaido was better IMO. In the anime, Lucci.

Kaido at the battle did not seem to be a villian, he also had dreams and loved to fight. He indeed was cruel, but even he had principles while Lucci seems to like killing.

I really like Kaido and how it felt like he was the protagonist in his fight with Luffy. Culminating in him finally being able to make joyboy appear to change the world.
Everything he was doing was to change the world,even if his methods weren't the best. He had to enslave Wano to make the warrior of liberation appear.

Lucci by far, Kaido had the potiental to be one of the best villains in the series however the flashback ruined everything

There's different types of villain
Scummy villain, Chaotic villain etc

Eg: Orochi is not a villain you wanted to know about his strength and power and the one you dont say about "can't wait to see he's fighting"
He was portrayed as weak scum of a villain and we all know he's role would be. Every villain represents different characteristics...
Kaido portrayal is build up all over a person's strength, power, world strongest etc.
Majority of fans are seeing forward to his battle and how powerful he is. That's it.....
And he did good in regards to that, and even to the point we're getting tired of long arcs Wano because he's too stronk

If you compare to Lucci, it's different. Both different villain with different character and values......you pick what type of villain you prefer. Especially right now with current Lucci development. Kaido clears.
Idk how all these KAiDo WoRsT viLLain, even Wapol, Hody jones are better etc lol. It's kind of cringe at this point or you just being frustrated about Wano in general
