Luffy gets hit by Apoo and gets knocked out for a fee seconds and has to get bailed out by Zoro. Luffy suffers very little damage from this and so its mostly shock that knocked out Luffy here.

Luffy failed to properly tank Boro Breath and he tanked Ragnarok very well.

Tanking Thunder Bagua is most likely not quite feasible for Luffy normally, unless standing in Tankman I assume.

Regardless we shall see if CoC can be utilized defensively as well, but I stay very skeptical about that notion for now.

But Luffy was mentally prepared... Apoo Hit luffy on the face first making him aware he waa under attack... Then Apoo cut up Zoro in front of Luffy... Then Apoo hit luffy again and knocked him out

So i can assume Luffy knew he was in danger

This arc in general had the Roof 5 Potrayed as YC4 before they reached the roof and then beyond Commanders once they reached it. It's weird as fuck, reminds me of Sanji struggling with Wanze then defeating Jabura
