If luffy gets one who will be his oden equivalent for the crew?
The main 2 candidates back in wano were momonosuke and Yamato
Both characters not just wanting to be like and surpass oden but wanting to be with luffy. Tho because of other responsibilities they had to stay. While they (along with kinemon) are basically honorary members of the crew whenever they want I don’t think that they’ll become full fledged members in the same sense as the main crew
Imo momonosuke will keep on leading wano and the samurai while Yamato starts gathering their own ragtag team of people while traveling through wano. Yamato leading a group of best pirate remnants same way katakuri and weevil might potentially do the same with the remnants of the bmp and wbp. All 3 likely allying under luffy
I guess there’s also vivi is also lowkey an honorary member of the crew, is royalty, and wants to travel but has too many responsibilities to do so
While she will definitely reunite with the crew at one point and even be considered a member I don’t she’ll be the oden of the crew. She’s might be even more important and relevant than him overall plot wise with her connections to Lily and imu but power wise she ain’t ever going to be up there imo. Which I think is important
Finally there’s sabo
They have share similar backgrounds them being rejected noble that seek freedom but more importantly they have the same dream. Same way ace had the same dream as whitebeard and luffy roger
Also the sun god and flame emperor being part of the same crew is hype. Them being brothers is hype as is
Also combat and power wise sabo is obviously a monster. If he did join I think he’d just be under luffy just like Roger’s and even kaido’s “oden” were only under them imo. Plus he could be made to fight topman warcury. Imu’s strongest subordinate and the godhead of justice. Which feels pretty fitting imo
The main and glaring problem is even tho they definitely share their similarities sabo might not want to be luffy’s subordinate. Tho if anyone going to be able to pull it off it’s Luffy. Also even if he did join I don’t think it’d be for very long. He’s probably going to get special treatment too lol for better or worse
Also more sabo hype
Doesn’t need to happen at the same time but it could be cool if luffy’s family ends up taking on shanks’s
- Luffy vs Shanks obviously
- Both pirates after the one piece that will inevitably clash
- Dragon vs Garling
- Leader of the revolutionaries against the gods knights just makes sense
- Sabo vs stabs
- We don’t actually know if shanks has an evil brother but if he the theory ends up being true why not. Sabo being luffy’s brother and dragons successor fighting Garling’s successor maybe
