Yeah but it's different here.

Saturn's got nothing in his bag outside of regen. If the Strawhats really put their mind to it, they could kill him right here.

1. Immobilize him
2. Shoot him with the anti-DF bubble gun on Egghead
3. Have Franky kill him.

At the very least, I can see Saturn dying in this arc because of the Devon plotline but that's all.

Did you just completely forget this is the Final Saga? This isn't 3 arcs ago where Oda has all the time in the world to fool around. It's the end quarter, he's old, we're old. If they don't get a win his options are timeskip training again or face the fact he's not ending this manga ever.

And plus, this seems like the matchup of Satori Part 2. Back when Luffy and Sanji battle Satori, Sanji gave oneliners about love too, and struck the final shot.
